YKK AquaGuard/AquaSeal zips (as per the one on the front of the Aer TP 2 packs) are over-rated. Just a note as well, for those that have gone deep in to the world of these kinds of packs, read tons of reviews, know all the technical stuff and jargon but have yet to commit or find exactly what they want: I was disappointed by the Aer product in this regard.) It's somewhat like a larger Aer Cable Kit, which I also own, but I prefer this as its organisation seems more practical for me. I was convinced by this one given its use of genuine Cordura and YKK zips. It's the ' tomtoc electronic organizer' and I'm quite impressed by it so far, especially given that I don't tend to order off-brand/generic gear. However an alternative that I received from Amazon just a few hours ago may make me cancel the order. (Although I'm not sure what you mean by "will it fit" as of course it will - do you mean in a particular orientation?), I would have been able to answer the question about the Peak Designs Tech Pouch too, as I just ordered one a couple of days ago and am awaiting its arrival. Having said that, the TP2 Small is my EDC but only because I have the build and need to carry a hefty desktop-replacement type laptop. While the TP2 Small is do-able as an EDC, I would say that these travel-centric packs are overkill for daily use, weighing a little too much and generally being over-engineered.

I'm about a foot taller than you and I'd say, as an EDC, the TP2 Small looks about right on me (neither looking like a school-bag or backpacker's kit) so I strongly suspect the regular TP2 is going to look (very) large on you.Īlso the compression straps (not specifically this pack's) while being useful for travel, are a total pain for daily use and frankly not complained about enough by professional reviewers. I'm wondering what you experience any of you have with this Aer bag. I read that the Peak Design Everyday bag isn't really quite the size they say because of the way the top folds down, and it's something I hadn't considered before. Originally, I was kind of planning on a Peak Design Everyday V2 but I've come across the Aer Travel Pack 2 Small and I'm wondering if this would be better.

Now, on the other side, we have a padded and suspended laptop compartment. I like mesh that is silky and has a nice elasticity to it.

On the bottom of this section, we got two elastic pockets right here and two pen pockets. It’s like a half opener, which is good in some ways because these zippers then don’t go down further into the water bottle holders, but it’s bad because it does limit your access to get inside that main compartment. First up, one thing to know is that this only opens up halfway.
